The life of the interior painting depends on, how it is done in the first place.
So, if it is done properly, it will last about 6 to 10 years.
What I mean by (if it is done properly) is that the very first painter must have used a very good quality primer/undercoat, and must have done good preparations.
Some areas of the house which have high traffic like passage, wet areas, and living areas, will not last as long as the rest of the house. Because there are highly likely chances of getting damaged by people, food splatter in the kitchen, moisture in the bathroom, and furniture.
- Bedrooms:
If you have kids, the paint will not last more than 3 to 4 years. Because kids are using their bedroom for sleeping and playing. But if you don’t have kids, then the paint will last longer. About 5 to 8 years.
- Passage:
passage is a high-traffic area. it needs to be painted every 2 to 3 years.
- Kitchen:
The paint in the kitchen doesn’t last long. This is due to food splatter, oil, and moisture. The kitchen needs to be painted every 3 to 4 years.
- Bathroom:
bathroom is exposed to a lot of moisture. As a result, it will get mouldy and the paint will start to flake very quick. So, the bathroom needs to be painted every 3 to 4 years.
- Living room:
living room is among the high-traffic areas in the house. If good quality paint is used it last about 4 to 6 years depending on how often you use it.
- Dining room:
dining room is also a high-traffic area in the house. If good quality paint is used it last about 4 to 6 years depending on how often you use it.
